GCMS provides numerous resources for students to achieve academic success. Below are some web-based resources for students.

UCSD Online Academic Tutoring System (OATS)
Students can receive extra 1-on-1 help from UCSD students via the Online Academic Tutoring System (OATS). Students at GCMS can connect with tutors from UCSD via a web-based video camera and chatroom. The system utlizes video chat and online interactive whiteboards to work in a virtual classroom. Students must register before gaining accesss to the system.

Friday Academy (8th Grade Algebra)
Friday Academy is an opportunity for those students that are failing in Algebra to get extra help. Students are placed in small groups to learn algebra concepts using alternate learning modalities. Students work on projects, math websites or get 1-on1 help via the OATS tutoring system with UCSD.

HippoCampus is a project of the Monterey Institute for Technology and Education (MITE). The goal of HippoCampus is to provide high-quality, multimedia content on general education subjects to high school and college students free of charge.
