1st Semester Honor Roll
A record 158 students earned the distinction of Honors at this year's Honor Roll Ceremony held in the GPA auditorium. With a filled capacity, parents ushered in the students with cheers and praise for their student's achievement. Honors included students with a 3.5-4.0 grade point average in both academics and citizenship.

GPA & Challenge Day!
As we continue to celebrate Black History Month and the inspirational people that have changed our world, GPA embarked on a new journey for our students. 80 students from Gompers Preparatory Academy took part in Challenge Day.

8th Grade Parent Meeting
8th grade parents gathered in the school's auditorium on Jan. 27 to hear information about the high school program at Gompers Preparatory Academy. As students prepare for 8th grade promotion, they learned about the requirement to promote.

California High School Exit Examination 2009–10 (CAHSEE)
All California public school students, except eligible students with disabilities, are required by state law to satisfy the California High School Exit Examination (CAHSEE) requirement, as well as all other state and local graduation requirements, to receive a high school diploma

Professional Development
On Monday, January 11, 2010, GPA teachers and staff engaged in their own learning by attending several professional workshops as part of their continued growth. GPA teachers and staff are committed to excellence and know the importance of life-long learning.
