8th grade parents gathered in the school's auditorium on Jan. 27 to hear information about the high school program at Gompers Preparatory Academy. As students prepare for 8th grade promotion, they learned about the requirement to promote.

California High School Exit Examination 2009–10 (CAHSEE)
All California public school students, except eligible students with disabilities, are required by state law to satisfy the California High School Exit Examination (CAHSEE) requirement, as well as all other state and local graduation requirements, to receive a high school diploma

Professional Development

On Monday, January 11, 2010, GPA teachers and staff engaged in their own learning by attending several professional workshops as part of their continued growth. GPA teachers and staff are committed to excellence and know the importance of life-long learning.

Millennial Tech Middle School (MTM) Emergency & GPA "Shelter in Place"
Our neighboring school, Millennial Tech Middle School (MTM), had an emergency today that required them to evacuate their campus. As a precautionary measure, due to the close proximity of this emergency, the GPA campus was directed to implement “Shelter in Place” procedures starting at 1:15pm. All students were kept indoors until notified by safety authorities that it was safe for them to be outdoors.

The Mayor of San Diego visited GPA on Monday morning, December 14th at 8:00. He was greeted by students and toured the campus. He was honored by our school president, Isaac Ramos and ASB Class Officers as they told their own personal testimony of their experience at GPA.
